Dean's Award for Excellence in Research

Dr Jane Elith and Prof Robert Saint

Congratulations to Dr. Jane Elith and Dr. Nicole Bell who are the 2011 recipients of the Dean's Award for Excellence in Research.

Dr. Elith undertakes research in the School of Botany developing species distribution models to explore key issues such as the impact of climate change on species and the prediction of distribution of invasive species such as cane toads. Dr Bell undertakes research in the School of Physics studying the flux of cosmic gamma rays to identify the nature and properties of dark matter in the universe.
