Research Scholarships

Local Student Information

Approximately 50 Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) scholarships are offered to Faculty of Science students each year. In addition, almost 45 students are offered a Melbourne Research Scholarship (MRS) or MRS equivalent scholarship. When applying for these scholarships via Graduate Research Scholarships, applicants are encouraged to concurrently submit a course application via the Melbourne School of Graduate Research.

International Student Information

In addition to the Endeavour International Postgraduate Research (IPRS) Scholarships, up to 20 Melbourne International Fee Remission Scholarships (MIFRS) will be offered to eligible high-achieving international students. Students awarded a IPRS or MIFRS will also generally be awarded a MIRS.
